Mixed rigid plastic packaging bales sourced from UK MRFs. These bales contain a combination of rigid polymer types from household recycling collections, typically including HDPE, PP, PET and other packaging plastics. Composition varies by source, which is why we assess every supplier and agree specifications before committing to supply.
Mixed rigids are an important feedstock for processors with sorting capability or for facilities that require a broader polymer input. We work with you to understand your processing requirements and source material that matches. Pre-shipment quality checks, loading photographs and complete Annex VII compliance documentation included with every load.
Composition varies between MRF sources depending on their sorting equipment, local collection streams and what is removed as separate polymers (PET, HDPE) before the mixed fraction is baled. We assess each supply stream individually and provide composition data so you know what to expect. Once a supply relationship is established, consistency improves.
To a degree. If you need a higher HDPE or PP content in your mixed bales, we can supply from sources where those polymers are more prevalent. However, mixed rigids are by nature a variable stream. If you need single-polymer material, take a look at our rHDPE, rPP or rPET pages instead.
This depends on the MRF source. Most UK MRFs sort PET bottles as a separate stream first, so PET content in mixed rigid bales is usually lower (5–15%). However, PET trays and non-bottle PET packaging may be present. We can provide composition data for each source.
